Hunting

I've come to the not-so-difficult realization that unemployment while on severance pay is pretty much vacation. A wonderful, perfect vacation. A PAID vacation. My days have been spent in one of two places: in front of my computer job-hunting, or catching up on my reading by the pool. Not too shabby.

It's not always sunshine and rainbows, though. The image below is what I've been telling myself when I get frustrated with not having a job. I actually printed it out, framed it, and hung it in my bedroom. It keeps me calm and focused. God is good!

Currently Coveting :: Green, Green, Green

Emerals green, kelly green, pea green, fern green, lime green, forest green, mint green... 

I'm typically drawn towards warmer colors when it comes to interior decorating, but for whatever reason whenever I'm asked the question "What's your favorite color?", my response is always "GREEN!"

I love the serenity and calmness of this color.. plus I'm kind of a hippie at heart and it reminds me of being outdoors. Literally like a breath of fresh air.

4th of July Fun :: What to Wear

I will be running the Peachtree Road Race for the second consecutive year, and this time my entire family (yes, all six of us) will be running together. Line I Love :: Mara Hoffman

I'm drooling over this clothing line. It's so feisty, spicy, spirited, bold... I could go on but I won't bore you with my descriptions. Just check out the images below...

Mara's collections are (obviously) very tribal and culture inspired. Her runway shows are designed to be very much like the clothing itself - a performance, featuring live musicians and dancers as well as models. I'd love to take some inspiration from this line and incorporate some global style into my wardrobe this summer! 

Wanderlusting :: London

What a unique city! There truly is no place quite like London. The mixture of old and new is inimitable. I love the old school punk-ish style that is associated with this city.. hence the inspiration for the London outfit below, featuring classic British designers like Alexander McQueen and Burberry. 

And of course, you can't have a post about London without a fabulous picture of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.. What a gentleman! I'm melting.

Work has been especially stressful the past few weeks.. I'm trying to remind myself daily how hard I've worked to get here and how hard I need to continue to work! It can be all too easy to get too comfortable and fall into a rut of daily tasks, but it's so important to ALWAYS IMPROVE!
