Tips from a Pro

Close your eyes.

Imagine, in your mind, the perfect rolled up sleeve.

French hen sweater

The perfect mix of formal and messy.

What is the first thing to come to mind? Is there a certain brand over others who takes this look to a new level of perfection?

J.Crew, perhaps? The brand who can do no wrong? Yes, they have the perfect rolled-sleeve down to a science.

According to Marina Dobreva, personal stylist for J.Crew, you achieve the J.Crew sleeve by "Taking the cuff and bringing it up to the elbow... THEN rolling the remaining part of the sleeve up to the elbow. This way the cuff is always showing."

*cue the "OMG why didn't I think of that?!!?" feelings*

That was how I felt, at least. No more awkward, chunky sleeves pushed up to my elbows for me!

Happy Tuesday, loves :)

  1. Hi Chelsea,

I stopped by your blog to check it out after you commented on mine - thanks so much for your sweet comment, it made my morning! (and if you are looking for anything in particular for your bf bathroom design drop me an email or leave a comment and I`ll look for photos for you). Just wanted you to know that I just spent probably half an hour looking at all the amazing photos on your blog. You have such fab taste! I pinned so many of your photos! In reading one of your older posts I read that you got laid off, did you find a new job? I would go back to your earlier posts to check, but I know if I do I will spend another hour on your blog! So great to discover you.

    best,
    mikky

    1. Thank you SO much Mikky! That is unbelievably sweet of you :) And yes I was fortunate enough to find a new job about a month ago, and it's 12378273 times better than the old one. Just goes to show that things happen for a reason! xoxo
